Bukit Timah & Upper Bukit Timah
Overview: Bukit Timah, meaning 'large hill' in Malay, is an extremely popular expat area due to its luxurious suburban feel, lush dense green surroundings & large nature reserves in Upper Bukit Timah. Bukit Timah Road stretches from Scotts Road just off Orchard Road all the way north westerly for about 12 Kms, thus giving easy access to the city within 15 minutes. The lack of large malls and high rises give the area a distinct and unique suburban feel.

Just off Bukit Timah Road tucked away behind the British Club Is Turf City a former national horse racing track and stadium - now relocated in the Northern district. There are excellent local and international restaurants, shops, pet hotels and pet obedience centres. The Alliancie Francaise, Hollandse Club and the Japanese Association are all nearby.
Marvellous mouth-watering hawker centres, international restaurants, pubs and local bars are also located around the Bukit Timah area, notably the thriving Sixth Avenue and Rail Mall areas. You'll also find an abundance of bakeries and coffee shops throughout the area as well as a handful of excellent bike shops and specialist gourmet food stores.

Holland Village
Overview: Holland Village over time has really become the 'expat Capital' of Singapore, with its ease of accessibility to Orchard Road & CBD within 5-7mins. Just north of the Singapore Botanical Gardens is the hugely popular Holland Village which boasts hundreds of modern restaurants, local eateries and specialist gourmet food stores catering to all expats home-from-home needs.

Entertainment & leisure: Holland Village itself is centred around an area that's fairly compact. Its many international and local eateries cater for all appetites - alongside this you'll find an eclectic mix of old style coffee shops, fabulous thrift and souvenir stores, plus a handful of funky fashion boutiques. In close proximity you will find the traditionally tasty hawker centre of Tiong Bahru Market. A short distance away On Alexandra Road you will find IKEA and the Queensway Shopping Centre, which houses a huge range of sports stores. Heading towards Tanglin is the cool and funky area of Dempsey Hill or, as its also known, Tanglin Village. The thriving area of Sixth Avenue is also in easy reach of Holland. With the Singapore Botanical Gardens on its doorsteps and the nature reserves of Bukit Timah a short drive away there's also plenty for the outdoor enthusiast.

Overview: This area is situated just on the outskirts of Orchard after Scotts road and at the bottom of Bukit Timah Road. The area has easy access to the Orchard Road prime-shopping belt and is about 10 minutes away from the Central Business District (CBD). The area is also next to the Central Expressway (CTE), giving easy access to any part of Singapore within 25-30 Mins.
